I have set up our class on an app called Seesaw. There is a free app on tablets and phones and can be accessed on the computer at web.seesaw.me If you get the app, get the one that is "Seesaw: The Learning Journal"
This website allows me to push out links, videos, and homework to students. So this is where students will get their work and do their work from now until this all ends. Students are able to do their worksheets directly on the site as I upload them, and then they can open the worksheet and there are pens and erasers that they can fill it out with. Saves paper and hopefully some computer ink on your end too! They also have options to record their voice, upload a photo or video, or type text on the homework.
For example, I have uploaded math from this week.
I uploaded a youtube video that is linked to a video of a guy teaching that specific lesson. This can be beneficial for students to watch or even parents to watch to help their kids!
Then there is the worksheet attached to each, when the student opens it up, they have the option to draw, type text, record their voice, or upload a picture. If your child has already completed that assignment or wants to continue completing them on paper, they can snap a picture on a phone or tablet and upload a picture. (Or you can always text or email them to me too)
To Access assignments:
Students will sign into app or website using code given by me, each student has their own code.
Students will go to Activities Tab (has a light bulb above it) and all of their homework and assignments will be posted.
Student will click add response.
This will take them to all the resources for that assignment.
Assignments can be started and saved to start later.
When it is complete they just have to click the green arrow in the top corner.
I know this is a learning curve for you an your child, but I know these kids pick up on things fast especially when it comes to technology!
I have emailed each of your child's logins to you individually.
